I'VE WATCHED T.O. AND HIS CAREER FOR A LONG TIME AND HE MAKES IT VERY EASY TO BE ON THE WRONG END OF EVERYTHING. IT IS NOT ABOUT ME,ME,ME,ME. FOOTBALL IS A TEAM SPORT AND IF YOU THINK THAT YOU CAN WIN ALONE---THEN GO OUT TO THE 20 YARD LINE, TAKE THE BALL AND RUN TO THE OTHER END WITHOUT YOUR TEAM TO MAKE A WAY FOR YOU TO GET THERE. FOOTBALL IS ABOUT BUSINESS, NOT PERSONAL. EVERY MALE THAT GOES INTO FOOTBALL SHOULD REALIZE FROM THE START THAT IF YOU DO NOT PRODUCE TO WIN, YOU ARE A LIABILITY AND AT SOME POINT YOU WILL BE CUT.
I WATCHED T.O. DISRUPT 3 TEAMS AND HE WILL PROBABLY DISRUPT HIS 4TH. HE HAS A ONE YEAR CONTRACT WITH THE BILLS AND THEY WILL PROBABLY USE HIM, THEN DUMP HIM BEFORE HE CAN START HIS ANTICS.
IT IS SAD THAT HE WASTES SO MUCH TIME BEING DISRUPTIVE INSTEAD OF BEING THE SUPER STAR HE IS CAPABLE OF BEING.
Some players fit well on the plantation and are very great full to be there - playing for the man. Some players know they are being pimped and have been pimped by the various plantations owners from High School through college and they make a rukus and rebel in strange ways. NCAA makes hundreds of millions and the college players - Black college players get pimped and may be a full scholarship - the Black players bring millions to the schools - check out how many Black students have non-sport full scholarships? All the young Black superstar at the college level should stand shoulder to shoulder - same for the football players. Being a super star is not all it is cut out to be - unfortunately that is the bill of goods sold to our youth - the small percentage that get a scholarship to college and the even smaller that get to the big pro plantation.
When can we stop acting like our black kids don't know what they are getting into. They are smart enough and understand exactly what's going on. Remember sports started out being a white mans game before blacks were allowed to get in. Also remember the old negro baseball league. You can't live the rest of your life acting as if athletes are being pimped. They have a union and have plenty of business pimps, black and white, behind them. This discussion is about an athlete going from team to team and becoming a cancer for each team he has gone to. This has nothing to do with players on a plantation. The very thing you call a plantation is not around. Players in the NFL have the right to play or not to play. They get paid more money than teachers. You say that college players are being pimped, i say that's wrong. If you pay college players then you should pay all students in college.
